Zakat al-fitr, commonly known as ‘Fitrana’, is the compulsory charity paid by every Muslim at the end of Ramadan. It is a way to ensure that those less fortunate are also able to celebrate the end of Ramadan.
Payment of £5 per person is made by the head of the household on behalf of every member of the household including children.
